hoofed to death?

So my funny sister in law, lives in a REALLY small town in British Columbia Canada. She recently moved there from Edmonton Canada. We were having a talk one night when they were visiting on how she didn't feel safe running at night, because of some recent sexual assaults that were happening around Edmonton. So I asked her if she liked to go run outside in her small town. She said NO, I don't want to get hoofed to death. SEE PICTURE BELOW.
This deer, comes to their house on a daily basis. The previous owners would feed this deer from their hands. She took this picture because the deer was outside there door eating their pumpkins. She says sometimes to go get in her car with the kids, she has to take their drumsticks from their game ROCK STAR and bang the sticks together to get him to go away:)

I think this photo is SO hysterical. I will keep you posted on the deer, and his travels.

Life is good here. Ben got back from Minneapolis and we were glad he was home. I haven't had to fly much I am temporarily writing some training modules for SkyWest. I can mostly do this from home, I sometime go to the hangar to get info I can't find on the Internet. The filming went well, it is hard to keep a straight face when you know it is not a real emergency. We all had a good time.

Kessler is almost crawling, he likes to move all over, but hasn't connected it all together.

We are also planning our Christmas party for the ward, it is going to be a talent show this year. Talents and Treats, is our catchy slogan.

My grandpa isn't doing very good, he recently has gone down hill quite fast, they put him a nursing home to see if they could help him, but he is getting more confused and weaker. It has been hard on my mom, she has been called home from work a few times, because he has had really bad days.

I cut 10 inches off of my hair, yes it is a nice change. I really needed to cut all the old stuff off.

But it takes some getting used to, I actually have to do my hair now. When it was long, I would try and get away with pulling it back all the time.

That's about it, we are looking forward to Thanksgiving and this time of year. Alivia bore her testimony in church on Sunday and wouldn't tell us what she was going to say. She said she was thankful for Thanksgiving. I thought that was cute.

Finally NOVEMBER!!!

Yeah, finally November. October was SO BUSY at our house, more than usual.
We had swimming lessons, Halloween activities, the ward trunk or treat and the kindergarten Halloween party , primary program practice, and program.
Cooper as Iron Man, it was a really popular costume around here
This was at the Kindergarten Halloween parade, Bauer as Hulk, me and my Biker attire. Kessler didn't have his costume on yet.

Bauer trying to keep up. The other kids were running so fast from house to house. He had to cut across the grass to keep up.

GUESS WHAT BEN DRESSED UP AS.....a Target employee. I said, Ben where on earth did you get that AWESOME costume. He looked at me and said "my closet". WOW what a great idea, I bet NO ONE else has a costume like yours.
(just a very small amount of sarcasm here, that is pretty much what I see him in, and when he gets home he won't change for a while, AND THAT BUGS ME WHEN HE DOESN'T CHANGE)
All though the Target flashing light on his shirt was kind of funny!!
Miss Gurney as a BYU football player

The kids posing for the picture, giving a Y for Miss Gurney.
I hosted the K party for Livi's class, we did a craft (made a candy corn paper craft) and game the pumpkin walk (just like musical chairs) and a sugar cookie with orange frosting and a few storied that Miss Gurney read to the class. She is such a great teacher, she is so darling...

Alivia as a vampire, she wanted to be a vampire this whole year. The teeth and all:)

I had to take a pic of the two of us, the BYU cutie and the tatted up biker chic!!!

Kessler loved his costume. He was so entertained by the feather sleeves,

On our way to the kindergarten parade.
Yeah for November, what is in store you might wonder. Ben will be at Target training in Minneapolis for a few days, our 9 year anniversary (counting down 10, so we can go on our own vacation:) swimming lessons, said with groan. Thanksgiving, THE DAY AFTER THANKSGIVING. (calling all you crazy shoppers Target 5:00am see you there)
Next week we will be filming a SkyWest training video, we did one last year and it was so fun, it was a land evacutaion , this year it is a decompression on the runway.......ooooh-ahhhhhhh
haha yeah will see how it goes:)

Happy Birthday Grandma!!

Happy Birthday yesterday....... to my mom!! She had a great birthday. My sister, her daughter, Me Alivia and my Mom's friend Gilda went to dinner. We traveled to SLC and went to The Roof at Temple Square!! It was so fun!!! Alivia loved it because we dressed up a little bit and I let Livi where a really fancy necklace. Her hair though is so crazy because of the swimming lessons and her bow broke as we were walking in. She asked if she still looked pretty after her bow broke and I said OF COURSE!!!!

On Monday night were able to carve pumpkins and had a really fun time. Ben made the mistake by telling Cooper to pull the pumpkins brains out and he high-tailed it outta there. Bauer wanted a sad face on his pumpkin but we couldn't get him to make a sad face for the camera.
Happy face above, Sad face below!!!
Alivia really didn't like the feel of the inside of the pumpkin.
Kessler was so excited with all the commotion of carving the pumpkins, he was walking around in his walking giggling and trying to figure out what was going on.

Coopers preschool went on a field trip this fall. To a farm called hee-haws:)
They had a great time. This is a picture of some of his little friends from class, they all live on
our street as well.
His whole class 12 little 4-5 year olds.Cooper
AspenDallin
Delanie
Swimming lessons have started again. I am telling you, they KICK my butt.
It is hard to go there everyday especially these next two weeks.
Cooper moved up to level 3 and Livi moved up to level 4.
Cooper's teacher was a bit worried because Cooper wasn't listening very well.
( WHAT COOPER NOT LISTEN, NO WAY)
My sweet, sweet Cooper is just that. But he is very busy and sometimes doesn't listen very well.
I will say he did improve during the week. His little body has so much energy, I need to get there early so he can run and play before his class.
Alivia's class totally different story. She is in a class with a 9 and 8 year old. The teacher is a retired Marine. So he means business most of the time. She did have some scary moments where she got so tired that she couldn't swim anymore and he had to pull her up out of the water. And another time he was helping someone else and told her to swim to the end. She does what he asks and she got so tired, a kid walking by could tell she was having trouble and pulled her out. SO I NOW STAY RIGHT NEXT TO HER THE WHOLE TIME, and I don't care if
Mr. marine has a problem with that.

Kindergarten Cutie....

Yeah for Alivia. This is her kindergarten picture. She has loved kindergarten so far.
Some of the highlights.
~Her gingerbread man ran away and she had to search all over the school for it.
~She went on a field trip to cornbelly's and came home with her own pumpkin and the funnest part was, she was able to ride the bus.
~She loves P.E. That's my girl, I loved P.E too. All you Westvale Vikings:)
~She loves riding her bike or scooter home from school with her friends.
~She loves going to the library to get a new book on Friday's.
~She especially loves her teacher Miss Gurney

5 things I love about my kids..

Alivia
1. She was number one. Something so special about the first baby and the first time you see them, hold them, take them home. They totally change your life. I am so thankful that she is a girl and ALL girl!!!
2. She is so sweet and very empathetic. She always asks about people and wants to know how they are doing and if they have been sick or hurt she wants to know if they are better.
3. She is such a good helper, when we are in our cleaning she loves to help me. She will grab a big case of Clorox wipes or whatever and just start randomly wiping things off. She also loves to help her brothers make their beds.
4. She loves her grandma SO much!!! more than mom and dad sometimes.
5. She is getting more and more of an imagination and it is very fun and entertaining.

Cooper
1. He was our SURPRISE, and I am so thankful for that.
2. He is very sensitive (all though it drives me crazy too)
3. He is so talk-a-tive in the morning it is so FUNNY, talks, and talks, and talks. About whatever is on his mind.
4. He loves to impress Alivia, he always wants to know where she is, what is she doing, and as soon as he finds her, he wants to be a part of what she is doing.
5. He loves his Grandma, I think more than Alivia, Cooper has a very special relationship with her. He knows she will always make him pancakes, and tickle his back. He loves to go out and work in the yard with her. He can be out there with her for hours.

Bauer
1. Bauer is our little comedian, and at the same time the tough guy. It takes a lot to make him upset.
2. He will eat anything, he is not picky. I love that about him. Anything I make for dinner he will try it no matter what.
3. He loves to sleep in our bed ( it can be annoying too) but he LOVES to sleep with mom and dad, he always feels so special.
4. I love how he says please, thank you and your welcome with out being asked. The other kids aare always reminded. They are 4 and 5 and at 2 he is so good at it...
5. He LOVES singing time in nursery, he is always so interested in what is going on. And then at home you will hear him quietly singing to himself.

Kessler
1. That he is number 4, and that he is a boy. Some of you that know me well, know how shocked I was when I found out he was a boy. I am so thankful for him and who he is.
2. He is such a good baby, for the first 4 months I wouldn't have totally agreed, but once we figured him out. He is a dream.....
3. He feels like our happiest baby, he loves to play and giggle. He loves to bounce and watch all the commotion around him.
4. I love his eyes, many people have commented about how big his eyes are. I love that about him.
5. I am so glad he is here, my last labor and delivery were anything but normal. I am so glad he is safe, sound and healthy.
This is a tag from my friend Stacie (thanks it was fun) I hope anyone who wants to do this tag will.....
