25/365-hurry up and wait.

(waiting for the Doctor to come back, playing a game on my phone)

We went back to the doctor today, last night was ROUGH...he left the hospital yesterday with a 'barking cough' (most likely from the tube for his airway) they said just to watch it and make sure he doesn't get more 'wheezy' than he was.

Well about 3am he got a lot more wheezy, my word of the day "stridor" ish. None of my kids have ever had croup, but for you out there that have experienced that sound of a tight airway,   I was almost calling 911, I thought his airway was closing off.....SCARY!!

He doesn't have croup but does have an inflamed uvula and inflamed vocal chords. He was put on some steroids today that should help and the Doctor was awesome he works out of the practice that our beloved Dr. Lei works out of. We saw Dr. Greenberg, he is part time there and a part time Doctor in the emergency room at Primary's he took really good care of us today.

He made a few phone calls to the surgeon and that was cool because they knew each other so I felt good that both of them were making the decisions.

So hopefully a better night tonight, and hopefully a speedy recovery.

24/365-Good bye tonsils, we will not miss you!

Bauer had his tonsils and adenoids out today at a new hospital in Riverton, it is an extension of Primary Children's in Salt Lake. He did really well, we showed up at 8:30 got registered and taken up to the pre-op waiting area. They had a great selection of toys and cartoons to watch. He had his choice of flavor for the anesthesia and he chose cotton candy. They also let him choose if he wanted to walk back, or ride in a wagon. The wagon was much funner.

The procedure was only about 40 minutes and I was able to go back as he was just waking up. He has a barking cough his vocal chords are a little irritated and the Doctor said his did have strep again today and so he is on pain meds and a antibiotic. The Doctor also sent his right tonsil (the culprit in all of this) to a pathologist to make sure it is not cancerous because of its size and appearance. We should have the results in the next week or two the Doctor said it is not routine to send them to a pathologist he just wanted to double check why it was so big and never went back down in size.

A groggy Bauer, he just wanted to lay there any sleep, he finally perked up about an hour after and was able to drink and orange slushy.

As I type this he is eating a chocolate popsicle and watching cartoons.

 Love that kid.

23/365-telling a story

 This is the official picture of the project 365. He was so funny one day telling me this really scary story is what he said I luckily had my camera with me and he didn't mind me snapping pictures.

 Mr. Bauer is getting his tonsils out tomorrow, he doesn't really know it yet, we have talked about going to the Doctor and being able to open his mouth and say awwwee...I will update tomorrow as well as some pics. I am nervous for him going under anesthesia, but in the same breath I am glad he is getting them out.

Miss Alivia is doing better, she feels good other than this Frankenstein looking thing on her forehead.

This picture cracked me up she has been kind of grouchy to the point she got in trouble today before church of crying/whining/complaining.



22/365-Demanding

Last night I was complaining to Ben...."you are so boring, let's go do something fun, why don't we take the kids down to JCW's and get a shake?" ...Ben's response..."NO" why don't we go to a movie...."NO" you get my drift right.

A few minutes later the phone rings he says, it for you, so he just sits there and doesn't try and reach it down by his feet, so I hop up and grab it...

Caller ID says Target 8017565449.

So he calls the store back, there supposedly is a gas leak and they may have to evacuate the store, so we jump in the car I drop Ben off, I take the kids-yes to get a shake.

Next thing, the phone rings at 1137pm again Target, there was an alarm going off for a freezer.

Ben gets up out of bed heads down to Target he rolls back into bed at 4:30am. He had to call out technicians wait for them to get there, wait for them to fix the freezer...poor Ben what a night.

The life of Ben a demanding wife and a more demanding job.

21/365-Costco Shopping

300.00 dollars later! (the most we have spent in a long time) whoah!

20/365- 17 stitches (warning gross picture)

 Alivia fell at recess today, she said she slipped on some ice. She said she wasn't running just walking, after she fell she stood up she said and could feel the blood running down her forehead and dripping down.

She walked straight to the office and they called me right away, I was just jumping in the shower and heard the phone ringing and thought to myself, I will call them back.

I got out and checked the voice mail. It was the school saying I needed to call them right back that Livi had fallen and most likely needed stitches.

The picture above is what the school did they steri stripped it (kudos to the school they were so nice and took really good care of her until I got there, I love our school out here, THANK YOU to them), and the picture underneath is at the doctors office.

 6 stitches underneath and 11 on top.

 She wanted to go show her Dad at work and then went to lunch to get one of her favorites a bean and cheese burrito.

19/365-Goldie

This is our goldfish I said Goldie up above but he or she really doesn't have a name.

I took a picture of this fish trying to give a good sense of how big this fish is.

Our kids went to a Halloween activity in 2009 and won this goldfish and he is alive and kickin or flippin for that matter.

So if you never have met a 2 year old goldfish now you have.

PS. I have been going to this "neighborhood" photography meetup group, it is so fun and I learn so much.

With that said I HAVE SO MUCH TO LEARN in photography/editing, it is one of the fun-est hobbies out there.
