Saved his life!!

Happy Thanksgiving to all you out there, even you Canadians reading this blog. We had a good Thanksgiving we had all the festivities at my house. So yes I ended up cooking the turkey. potatoes, veggies, buying the dessert and not to mention the rolls (dont get too exited, they were the kind you get out of the freezer) not our usual but it was good. We had a small crowd this year my mom, my brother and Gilda (family friend). The crazy thing about the wonderful day is that I got on this RIDICULOUS cleaning spree in the morning, cooked ate and then had to clean up for another 2 hours. I was SO tired at the end of the day I was SO thankful for my bed.

So the title to my post is a funny story about Alivia, Kessler LOVES to cruise the house in this little walker (thanks for letting me borrow it Katie:) and we have this gate up by the stairs of course. However it is raised up 6 or so inches so the kids can still go up and down the stairs but Kessler can't go down. I was in my bedroom just getting out of the shower, getting dressed and I hear the gate crash and I go running in there and Kessler is teetering on the edge of the stairs and as I run up to the walker is Alivia had run up the stairs (she heard the same thing) and shoved his walker away from the stairs and exclaimed "I saved his life" out of breath and laying there at the top of the stairs like she had just run a marathon. It was so cute and funny. I gave her a big hug and thanked her for saving his life and being the best big sister not too mention, mini mom.

Kessler

First I would LOVE to thank my neighbor and friend Jeni, for letting me benefit from her unbelievable talent.
I knew I wanted to get Kessler's 6 months pictures taken (a month late:) and had seen some pictures that she had taken of some friends I know. So we set up an appointment and this are the beautiful photos we ended up with.
When I first looked at them, I was so choked up because it is so touching to see how the pictures capture the sweetest parts about them.
Our sweet little baby, with his unbelievable brown eyes.
These are just some of my favorites!!

Thanks again Jeni, thanks for sharing your talent with me:) you are the best!!

Blonde bombshells

The kids found the blonde wigs. They were having a lot of fun with them. Alivia and Cooper had the first two on and Bauer was really sad, so he ran upstairs and got a dish towel and a brush and came back down stairs to join the fun.Cooper was so funny today, this whole week he has been cracking me up. He always says really cute random things. Tonight he was talking to Livi in the kitchen and she said why are you mad, he said "I am not mad I am angry". He was upset with Alivia because she was saying that some of Coopers friends were her friends. He will also be sitting by you on the couch and randomly just start kissing your arm. They all got a photo will the not so crazy wig on.

Dressing up is Alivia's favorite thing to do.

For our anniversary Ben and I went to the Melting Pot in SLC. It was fun until Ben got a stomach ache from eating all the cheese fondue himself. So I got bored and started taking photos of myself, while he was gone.

After the cheese fondue started to settle

1995 some of my best friends in high school, Jen Clayton-Johnson (right) and Jen Schmutz, (left). We were at my sisters wedding.

2008 a long awaited reunion. We only sat and caught up for 5 hours.

9 Years

9 years ago today, Ben and I got married on a Beautiful fall day. It was about 70's and hardly a cloud in the sky.
Unfortunately Ben wasn't feeling very well, he had a fever and the chills. But he went through it with it anyway: ) thanks Ben:)

We were engaged in August, married in November. He asked me to marry him in the kitchen of his parents house.

So in honor of anniversary, I will count down the years and some milestones from the last 9 years
1999- we got married and Ben was an illegal alien (work wise, but not schoool wise) and couldn't work. He was just going to school at BYU.
2000- I was working long 4 day trips for SkyWest, and Ben was still going to BYU, we then moved to Murray.
2001- We bought our first house in Harvest Hills in Saratoga Springs. We were trying to stay under 130,000 for a house and ended up 124,900.
2002- I was training flight attendants for SkyWest, Ben was working for my Brother in law and going to school at the University of Utah.
2003- We had Alivia in Jan and found out I was pregnant with Cooper in May. (yeah not exactly what we had in mind) Ben started with Target the end of May and then Ben was in his wave runner accident the first of September and was out of work for almost 3months total.
I was working part time for SkyWest and when Ben went of his LOA I went back full time on the ground. Ben stayed home with Alivia, she had and has a really close relationship with him I think because of all that time she had with him.
2004- We had Cooper on Leap Year day February 29. Ben was still going to school and working nights at Fort Union Target. I was unable to go part time for SkyWest ( or I would of have had to quit) Ben was home with the kids during the day, there were two days a week he would not sleep for more than 24 hours so we did not have to find babysitters.
2005- Ben was working for Target and I was able to go part time again, on the ground and flying. Ben graduated from the U in business management. We went on our trip to Paris/ Switzerland.
2006- We had Bauer and moved into our house we are in now, up the street from our old one. Ben went to Jordan landing Target, where he struggled the most in his career thus far. (long story)
2007- Part time for me and still at Jordan landing. We went on a cruise for my 30th Birthday, no kids, the best birthday ever (not that I don't love my kids:)
2008- had Kessler in March, it has been a great year. Ben passed off STL, we have 4 really cute, healthy, sweet, funny kids. Part time for me, a mini vacation once a week.
Just trying to be good parents, love each other, don't take things to seriously. Keep up on the laundry, try not to worry about the finger prints everywhere.
Looking forward to anniversary number 10 so we can go on a trip without the kids:)
Happy Anniversary Ben!! people have often said that we are so different. In one aspect that is true. But in 99% of everything else. I aspire to be like him. He is genuine, kind, loving, hard working, even keeled, smart, and loyal. Thank you for letting me post this. To nine years, and the journey!!

hoofed to death?

So my funny sister in law, lives in a REALLY small town in British Columbia Canada. She recently moved there from Edmonton Canada. We were having a talk one night when they were visiting on how she didn't feel safe running at night, because of some recent sexual assaults that were happening around Edmonton. So I asked her if she liked to go run outside in her small town. She said NO, I don't want to get hoofed to death. SEE PICTURE BELOW.
This deer, comes to their house on a daily basis. The previous owners would feed this deer from their hands. She took this picture because the deer was outside there door eating their pumpkins. She says sometimes to go get in her car with the kids, she has to take their drumsticks from their game ROCK STAR and bang the sticks together to get him to go away:)

I think this photo is SO hysterical. I will keep you posted on the deer, and his travels.

Life is good here. Ben got back from Minneapolis and we were glad he was home. I haven't had to fly much I am temporarily writing some training modules for SkyWest. I can mostly do this from home, I sometime go to the hangar to get info I can't find on the Internet. The filming went well, it is hard to keep a straight face when you know it is not a real emergency. We all had a good time.

Kessler is almost crawling, he likes to move all over, but hasn't connected it all together.

We are also planning our Christmas party for the ward, it is going to be a talent show this year. Talents and Treats, is our catchy slogan.

My grandpa isn't doing very good, he recently has gone down hill quite fast, they put him a nursing home to see if they could help him, but he is getting more confused and weaker. It has been hard on my mom, she has been called home from work a few times, because he has had really bad days.

I cut 10 inches off of my hair, yes it is a nice change. I really needed to cut all the old stuff off.

But it takes some getting used to, I actually have to do my hair now. When it was long, I would try and get away with pulling it back all the time.

That's about it, we are looking forward to Thanksgiving and this time of year. Alivia bore her testimony in church on Sunday and wouldn't tell us what she was going to say. She said she was thankful for Thanksgiving. I thought that was cute.
