Conquering fears.....

Cooper has had some what of a fear of water and not really having the desire to get into and play in depths of water, until today.......

We took a day trip to Seven peaks in Provo to beat the 100 degree heat here. Cooper turned over a new leaf.

He in a matter of hours was not liking pools and getting his face wet to, sliding down slides and falling off of floatee's and submerging himself and standing up clapping....."I DID IT"

What a great day, the kids are beat and so it Mom, that is some hard work chasing two little one through pools and slides all day. Luckily Grandma was there to keep Bauer entertained in his little area of the pool.

All is well on the home front, the back yard is coming in more and more.

We planted 3 fruit trees (apple, peach, cherry) tomatoes, cantalope, jalopenoes, corn, rasberries and blueberries.

I will give you a daily update of what has not pulled through. To date I have only lost one cantalope plant. I did find out, from my Dad that I was not watering it correctly. (news to me, you can water something wrong)

So we will see what makes it. We did plant some shade trees. They can't grow fast enough it is so HOT!!!!

Other news, our ward split and we are now the new 8th ward. I was called to be the activities chair person.

Ben will be called to be on the commitee, since I gave them his name on Sunday, he doesn't know that yet, so don't tell him:)

Happy Father's Day Ben. We took the kids "camping" . Okay so it is not a typical Whidden style camping but an Andrea style camping. My mom's friend was letting us stay at her cabin. Which had all the nice amenities that a mother could enjoy. Running water, flushing toliets and nice bed to sleep in, Ben said " this is not camping, this is staying at someone elses house in the mountains". However, the kids loved it we went on walks and on a golf cart ride or two. We went to the beach for a few hours and enjoyed the time away all together.

Ben enjoyed his time off, until we stopped to pick up the car at Target and of course we go in, and the place is CRAZY. Ben being Ben, was bugged about how the store falls apart in two days.

To me it all looks the same, lots of stuff I think I need. Walking through the store to see what has orange clearance tags on them. I did see a lot of stuff that I do want, but I will wait until it's not Sunday. So tomarrow sounds like a good day to go to Target. j/k

Thank you to Ben for all he does for us. His list is long and possible never ending. He is a great Dad, I think that was learned from being the oldest. The kids adore him and scream his name when he comes home. He loves to take the kids to the movies, jump with them on the trampoline, play games with them, and take them on bike rides in the bike trailer. He lets them stay up way passed their bed time and doesn't get annoyed with them, when they are so tired. When I am not home, they get to do a lot of things not in the norm, like eat cookies for breakfast and have cookies for lunch too......and while they are at it why not have cookies and pop for dinner:) Thanks for taking care of us and being who you are.

A new resturaunt here in Utah

The name of these restaurants: "The Steak Center "
Each Steak Center will have one enormous dining area with basket ball hoops at either end and folding metal chairs and long tables covered in plastic tablecloths.
The Steak Centers will not have hostesses, but greeters, (men in their70's who will meet you at the door and talk like they have known you all your life).
The main menu items will be: Porterhouse Rockwell Steak, Primary Rib, and the Poor Wayfaring Pan of Beef, garnished with Parsley P. Pratt Funeral Potatoes.
We will also have, when it's in season, Eliza R. Snow crab. Let's not forget a whole line of "And It Came to Pasta", including Kraft Moroni and Cheese.
Additionally, we'll have breakfast items, including Pearls of Great Rice and Frosted Minivans, as well as Adam -ondi-Omelettes.
The house drink is "Apple Juice."Also available, "In Our Lovely Desserts", including Fast Sundaes, Gadianton Cobbler and the sinfully delicious Laman Meringue Pie with Lemuel Lime ice cream.
The waiters will be 12 and 13 year-old boys wearing white shirts and their fathers' ties. At the end of the night the customers will be asked to help fold up the chairs and tables and vacuum the floor.

Life in General

So life in great in Utah. The sun is shining it is only 80 degrees. The kids are in bed and I am listening to all my favorite music.
So Ben's boss's, boss pulled him in yesterday and asked him "how I (andrea) was doing" Ben replied that I was fine, and then he asked what I thought about his job? Ben said, that I said. "He wasn't moving up fast enough"........well lets just get things settled. When you have one person doing most of the work and pulling 60-70 hour weeks. And finally when he does come home he just wants to sleep. What wife would not want her husband to be compensated for all the hard work and the lack of time with the family???
So I don't expect Ben to be CEO this year..... maybe next year........ :)
Anyway, Bauer is well on his way to marathons and Livi is on her way to having lots of friends and not wanting ot be with her mom and dad so much. Cooper he is doing well, he has been potty trained for some time, and still puts his underwear on backwards and so when he walks away his little butt cheeks hang out of his "superhero" underwear. It is hysterical.

Cooper's latest stunt, we were at the grocery store and he said that he had to use the restroom, so I pulled the milk out of the case and put it in the cart and turned around and his pants were off and standing there, just there. We hurry and put his pants on and rushed to the bathroom.

Cooper went to the movie spider man and everytime he came on the screen he would yell "spiderman" as if no one in the audience could see him.
Bauer says stop and holds his hand up.
Alivia has the General authorities faces and names memorized and when she gets to Dieter F. Uchtdorf she says Dieter F. "Dookdork."
The kids refer to cereal of what character is on the box, I am sure you can all relate.

An update on my family, my mom has lost 70lbs and looks amazing. She feels even better. Has been doing recent tests to see if she can get rid of her c-pap machine.
My sisters Jen still has Kyleigh-4, Duncan 2 and going to adopt baby "Geen-o" 6 monthish soon.
Steph has adopted Grace it is official. She also has Little Deloy he is about 18 months.
Kyle and my Dad not much too say, not much I want to say.

So these were taken at Target in Orem. Bauer did not feel well that day. He was so sick. I felt horrible taking him, we almost cancelled but he seemed to come around a little. He was usuallly a lot more smiley baby.
Livi, is 4 Cooper was almost 3 and Bauer was 8 months.
