photo overload

We had a great time in Paris, and getting there in  Business class made it all the better. Here are some of the photos we took.
All the blossoms were blooming.
The Paris rooftops out of our itty, bitty, Paris flat (it was actually a studio in an attic)

Hotel de Ville
Seine

Outside and inside the Notre Dame

What I like to call the love locks bridge, but it was called the Pont de arts? (Ben is not here to remind me)
I loved the idea of putting a lock on the bridge, I had EVERY intention of getting one engraved before we left but ran out of time, luckily we found one in Paris and put our name on it and threw the keys in the river.....awwww:)

Thousands of locks!
We didn't visit the inside of the Louvre or any other museum while we were there, we would have but they all close on Monday. We didn't plan that very well.
We did however, walk and walk and walk, up the river down the river, through side streets just taking in the energy and amazing history. We stopped every day and got a crepe, mostly a sucre crepe, but one day I did get a nutella and chantilly crepe!!
We walked up and down the Champs Elysees, and window shopped of course went to the Arc de Triumph and just sat and people watched.

The blooms and grounds were amazing!

All of these statues are down from the Louvre, I can't remember what this one was with out clicking on it, but the one below is the Good Samaritan.
I think this one is Alexander the great.

We walked the Champs Elyees' on a Saturday and it was PACKED!! people everywhere.

Awwww, my favorite store that I didn't go in just admired from outside. M.A.C

Eiffel tower shots

It was really nice to just sit on the grounds of the Eiffel tower and relax. We had a great time, didn't feel a whole lot of pressure to pack anything specific in. Just went with the flow.
On our last afternoon, we did take a ride up the Seine on the Batto Bus. It was a neat perspective of the city.
I am so grateful to be able to spend some time with Ben, the kids did good at my mom's house. They went swimming, to a movie, rollerskating and cleaned out the Suburban before we got home:) They had a good time with their cousins.
I am just glad to be home, don't have any more travel plans other than working and I NEED to get some yard work done !!

SLC, CVG, CDG

For the first time I am posting from my smart phone.
The trip started out great,  we made the flights we wanted including getting business class on the way to Paris. I am so thankful to a delta ticket agent who suggested I go through Cincinnati or Seattle to get the newly configured 767.
(I was originally going to do the direct flight out of slc, that is the main reason we choose Paris) It worked like a charm.
I especially love seeing Ben so comfortable,  he doesn't like all the attention they give you but I think he could get used to it:)
We had our own personal entertainment center, our seats layed down completely flat, our own full size pillow and down filled blanket. Ben watched tv the whole time I tried to sleep for a bit. I was so impressed with Delta's customer service they were so kind and genuine. The lead attendant when the flight was finished went around and shook everyones hands and thanked them personally for flying with Delta.
Food was good, the shrimp and avocado appetizer was good, the pumpkin bisque was ok, we both looked at each other and said babyfood at almost the same time. Main course a good beef steak, gravy, potatoes and some yummy vegtables. Dessert; Ben got ice cream, I got some really good chocolate cheesecake....
Overall the flights were better than we could imagine. I feel so lucky and blessed to have that experience. So thankful to have a job that I love and some great perks to go along with it.

Back in Biz and Ramblings

Our garage door opener died, the motor anyway. It has a warranty on the motor for 10 years, but they charge you 90$ to come out and diagnose it......well I could buy a new one for that cost! So that's what we did. A new and improved garage door opener, yea!! I hate not being able to park in the garage!

One more, trip that is. It's been a long week with 6 trips in 8 days. I will be glad when I am back tomorrow morning, can pin my bangs back, pull my hair in a pony tail and put my lounge pants on:)

Grateful for the opportunity to teach the lesson on Sunday.

My kids have been either really good or really bad lately, today 2 out of 4 where in the good category.

Not sure why people are not honest with others and themselves.

Thankful to get to know people better in my Sunday school class, I appreciate their honesty, candidness, and willing to be vulnerable.

Why does the cat meow, over and over again at 3am?

Thankful for my Mom, she teaches me so many lessons through her stories of her patients, it has shaped my life.

Not sure why people are passive-aggressive

So excited for school to be out.

Grateful for a clear mind and a willing heart.

Thankful for the beauty of this earth.

Life is good!

I will be going private, let me know if you want to keep reading our blog.

Weekend plans

Happy Saturday ya'll!
Made it through my long work week, with a really boring morning of training pictured below. Having 3 weeks off was worth it! I only have one night off and then I am back at it, but only for 2 nights, but that is the beginning of my birthday week:) so excited to go on a little trip with just me and Ben.

Had a really crazy experience with a passenger, while we were serving the drinks I asked him if he wanted something to drink and he responds, with a nice compliment, I was so beautiful...and being very sweet and complimentary. It was nice at FIRST! then he became really creepy, he somewhat followed me around the airplane (came up to the galley, came to the back and sat by me for a few minutes) asking me if I would come to his house and let him massage my feet. He kept saying it would be a respectful massage?? Me and the other flight attendant got a good kick out of it, because he was so forward! When he finally deplaned, and of course he waited for everyone else to get off to {beg}me to please come to his mom's house and we can sit by the koi pond and relax.........CRAZY!!
As I got thinking about it, it was almost as if I was looking at the devil himself, I had my wedding ring on, I thanked him for the compliment but that would come and get a massage.

It was pretty spooky thinking about it, and that if some young girl fell for that, they could be in  a lot of trouble......it gave me the creeps!!

Got some projects starting, I will take some before and after photos. But I am going to paint the upstairs. The house gets beat up pretty good by the four little ones, and so I am going to fix some dents, scratches and small holes and not exactly sure what color yet. We are getting some shutters in the back of the house to match the front. And some other possibilities, doing a wall treatment on my two big walls in my living room and maybe some built in's on the stairs. I am still pricing some things out to see if I want to drop the moolah!!

A movie with me and the Mr, a dinner out and a lesson for the YW tomorrow!

The kids are doing good, school is almost over....and it is almost time to put up the pool!! Mowed my lawn:) I love mowing the lawn though. Just need to go out and weed but I don't like weeding so it might be until it gets a little warmer.

PS. I am going to be going private with my blog.

Series of events

Happy weekend ya'll, I was hoping today was going to be sunny and I {was} planning on doing some yard work, but the weather changed my mind:)
This picture below is one of my favorites from our vacay to Hawaii, Kessler asked me to take his picture when he jumped in the water and this one below looks like happiness.

We had a great day at Grandma's house, the park, and swimming. Swimming never gets old, I love watching the kids have fun and burn all sorts of energy.
My sleep is almost back to normal, I have been tired this week, it took me a week to get used to the Hawaiian time zone and it has taken me a week to get back to normal.
Ben is back to work, he isn't training any Canadian STL's anymore but they asked him to train another one, but declined because his store is going to go through a remodel pretty soon.

Ps. I love the month of April!

Jet lag?

And.......we're back, sigh. All is well, just a case of something similar to jet lag, tiredness, the feeling of being cold and not able to warm up. Safe and sound is always a good thing, there is a lot to do too! Laundry is done, house is clean, kids were happy to go back to school and now for some spring projects that I have been excited to start.

These are some of the last photos that I took while we were waiting for our flight because we checked out of our hotel, we traveled up to a town called Paia. It was a cute little town and the scenic overlooks. The wind was a whippin' and it made for some amazing kite surfers as well as just the regular kind.
All of the flights home went better than I expected, Ben was happy and that is a good sign. He hates waiting in airports and I don't {mind} it, I don't love it but it is okay. We were going to try 5 flights Sunday night and we made the 4th one, they were only 45min to 1 hour apart so it wasn't bad. We did get very lucky at first they said they only had 5 seats and ended up having 6 so we all made it, and then out of LAX we sat through 2 flights and made the 3rd. Thankfully it was on a SkyWest flight and so we get better priority and we all made it on!! I thought it was going to be much worse, (as in staying the night in hotels and trying for days) we ran into some people at the airport that were traveling on someone "buddy/companion pass" and they had been trying for 4 days to get home....what a nightmare!!
Kids are peeling, they look like they have a skin "condition". Overall glad to be back, back to the chilly spring here in Utah and looking forward to school being out in a little more than 30 school days!!
BRING ON SUMMER!!

Mahalo Hawaii!

Photo overload due to not posting yesterday, yesterday was another easy going day. We originally were going to go on a little drive to see some waterfalls, but as we got going we decided it was too far and so we went sight seeing in a different town . Ended up staying at the beach almost all day.

Today started out another beautiful day, clear skies, a morning pool swim and and easy afternoon at the beach, the highlight of today was, we got Kessler to snorkel  We started real small and just told him to put his goggles on like he did in the pool and look in the water just once......well once he saw all the fish he swam around with Ben and I and he loved it, he was so excited and kept coming above water to tell us what he was seeing, it was so cute finally he just started pointing at everything and looking at us underwater. It was so awesome, we saw a sea turtle and he was freaking out happy. It was so cute!!!

 Some pics by the pool.
 Bauer on his water taxi;)

Ben getting attacked by the kids.

Kessler and his many jumps in the pool.

Cute little girl at the beach, she says she doesn't want to go to the beach but wants to stay at the pool, but as soon as we get there she is the first one in.

 Sand castles, galore!

 Our beautiful evening view!

A look down our beach, lots of different groups/people around many body shapes and sizes, the biggest thing I noticed. Is there is a lot of "babes" :) on the beach and most of them need to pull their swimsuit out of their bottom and wear it like a normal person...ha ha
The kids and their "new" friends, it was cute......quite a few places we went they would make some friends it made me happy to see them be so friendly and have a good time.
Coming in from a long swim.

This couple, I am pretty sure they were local but their dog would come out and grab their snorkel stuff and run it into the beach, and then when the dog delivered all the equipment he actually pulled the guy to shore by swimming and the man would hold on the back of the dog. I wouldn't have believed it, if I didn't see....it was cool!

Kessler flexing and watching his shadow....had to take a pic!!

Sum up our trip.....amazing. So glad we were able to do it. Thanks to the Mr. for working so hard to make it possible for us to come and thankful for my job to make it possible for us to get out here so cheap;) I hope the kids remember it and had a good time, we had a good time watching them.
Tonight will be a bitter sweet night, but one more morning of listening to the birds and laying by the pool. On our way to the airport tomorrow night we will have to dial in our stand by patience...... can't even tell what flights we will make and if we will make it on all together....
Mahalo.....Hawaii~
