day one.&.two

There are no pictures from day one, day one was exhausting.....we took a 11:55 pm flight to Atlanta. First when I am at work on a airplane, all I want to do is sleep sometimes, and then the times that I actually can I CAN'T!! so frustrating! There were more than one hundred seats open....also I figured out why the flights were so full this week, there were 15,000 DECA students in town for some competition, Ben actually went and had to judge for some of the sections.
We landed in Atlanta 5:30 am their time but 3:30 Utah time {painful} trying to get 4 really sleepy kids to walk through an airport. Kessler completely shut down, he was crying about not hooking his pillow on his suitcase right, he would cry about anything...I mean anything. But as soon as he laid down on the bench he was out. Same thing started again, we we had to wake him up to take the 7:30 (5:30 Utah time) flight to Fort Lauderdale.
We made it to our hotel and took a 4 hour nap.

His face has not been clean since we got here..... Cheetos, donuts, juice stains, ketchup, mustard.....you name it.
We visited a John Lloyd state park today and the waters were closed because of jelly fish, they were scattered all over the beach as well.

The long pier where lots of people fishing.
This crab he is holding is dead. His face still looks freaked out:)

Cooper saw the big waves splashing on the rocks and wanted to cool off so he went out there and waited and waited for the big splash
 not quite
 not yet
 Finally......he got soaked
Ben saw a live crab and jumped down and grabbed it, it was pinching his fingers, it was the funniest thing I have ever seen, it was like a hot potato. He finally got a hold of it and showed the kids.

I cannot get over this photo, I WISH!!! I would have taken more pictures here, the lighting was amazing, I actually just shot this as I was walking out and didn't look at the preview until later.
So far day one and two have been fun. Day three has some more swimming and possibly ocean snorkeling in store. We are driving down to the Florida Keys and might do a snorkeling charter, the kids practiced there snorkeling today in the hotel pool and Bauer even did a pretty great job breathing properly and using the fins. He also took off his life jacket and was able to swim the length of the pool with the mask, breather and fins. He was so cute how happy he was.

BTW....we have been to two Targets in two day as well.......duh .....I feel like they are tourist attractions for us. However Ben leaves all fired up, because he can't believe stores get away with all the stuff they are doing wrong?!?

photo overload

Like I said before, it takes a lot of convincing for me to sit down and blog.
Some of our life in photos with short captions.
Easter Egg hunt in Grandma's backyard.

Easter festivities, my Mother in law sent me this really cute scavenger hunt to find their Easter baskets.

Their Easter baskets were hidden in the garage.

Easter pictures before church, kids cooperating as usual.

Ben thought he was funny, I put the camera on a timer and it would take 10 pictures all in a row. He was doing some crazy poses, this was just one of the frames.
 Spring break in Las Vegas

View from the hotel balcony, taken with my fish eye adapter.

Our walk to the Bellagio to see the fountains.
Once we got there and waited 10 or so minutes, an announcement came over and said due to high winds no fountain show.
Waiting for the show to start.

Ben thinks he is funny when I am trying to take his picture.

Kids are back to school this week, from a nice spring break.
Ben is deeply involved in hockey playoffs.
Alivia is starting piano lessons next week, she also passed off all of her times tables, onto division.
Cooper is getting Baptized this Saturday, more blogging to come about that (not sure how timely it will be)
He has been surprising me the last few days/weeks, he sat down to do his homework and I didn't have to be by his side the whole time and he also said that he was going to finish it before he went out to play.
He also hung up his church pants without me asking him.....say what?
Bauer is such a easy going little dude, not much in his little kindergarten world.
Kessler is also growing up and becoming more and more independent. He will now FINALLY put his own seatbelt on, he also has been saying, basically after everything you say "that's a good idea" it was very comical for a while.
