Day 2

Riding Kessler's scooter in the kitchen (every day)

I am going to try the picture a day challenge...

Since I am a day behind I will start with Day one:

Thank You!

Thank you everyone for all of your help with a little project of mine. I have recieved many wonderful things that are going to make my niece's life better. (long story how this new realtionship came about but she is my niece).

Thank you so much, since I found out about her and her circumstances I have been humbled, and truly know that I am blessed with so much. I also know how much a parents influence can be on a child and it makes me want to be a better example to my little ones.

THANK YOU -THANK YOU!!!

One person in this world is on their way to writing a different chapter in their life because of you!!

A little help for someone who needs it, I promise!

I have a project that I need a little help with. I have someone who is need of a few gently used or new items.

I am going to start with a list of I know for sure items and if you think you could donate any please resond to the blog so we don't duplicate.

Sheets crib mattress size.
Bath towels
Dish towels
Dish soap and or laundry soap, bath soap, shampoo, toothpaste, tooth brushes.
Garbage cans, garbage bags.
Kitchen utensils (spatula, wooden spoons, plastic spoons, ice cream scoop, anything along those lines of cooking/serving type utensils)
Broom/mop/dust pan
Colander
Water/juice pitcher
Sponges, scrubbers, cleaning supplies
Dish drainer
Lamps, night lights
Some big items that she could use would be a Vacuum, a bike and bike trailer, a CD player.
I know that is a lot to ask but if you mention to friends or family someone might be donating one of these big items to the DI and instead we could give them to her.

This young lady has two young boys 4 and 2 she doesn't need toys or clothes she has received that from the homeless shelter she just moved from.
If there is anything that is not on this list that you were going to donate or throw away message me, she does not have anything in her apartment.
She will get a voucher from the DI for beds, dressers and maybe a couch. We are hoping that she will have enough money to get dishes, right now she is eating off of paper plates and plastic utensils.

She is an amazing young women who grew up with a very troubled childhood. To make the best of her life she moved her and her two children first into a women's shelter and then she had to move to a homeless shelter for at least the last 4 months. She and her two boys were sleeping in a hallway at the homeless shelter downtown and then the state moved about 80 families into a warehouse in Midvale, she now has been approved for rapid-re-housing program and just moved about 10 days ago into her own apartment.

Thank you so much, I am promising you that these items will help her life and her children.

Christmas Mega-Post!

The Christmas Mega Post.

Bauer had a Christmas program help down at the Rec. center in Lehi. I only took pictures this time and didn't record anything. It was really cute and we are so thankful for his cute teacher. Mrs. Chamberlain. She is so bubbly and outgoing she connects with the kids easily.
He is Bauer as an Elf.

We went to Temple Square for Alivia's other Christmas recital (it was held in the JSMB, Joseph Smith Memorial Building) on the Mezzanine. It was fun to see the other Choirs as well preforming there that night.
We stopped by the Lion House Cafe and had some really good dinner, and then took a very quick tour of the lights, we definitely didn't stay as long as I would have liked. But still it was amazing to go to the Temple grounds and see and feel the Christmas spirit.

I love the temple doors. They are truly amazing.

This was a very small portion of the 40?foot Christmas tree in the JSMB. The decorations are amazing.
Opening pillow pets at Grandma's on Christmas eve, complimented by a Turkey Dinner, with corn bread and sausage stuffing, rolls, mashed potatoes and gravy and pie.

Still not into opening presents yet, I sure it won't take long.
All the 'Mayfield' grandkids from left to right.

These are for Arendje she commented on what a quiet Christmas it was, I got the feeling she missed the commotion a little bit? maybe after these videos she will change her mind:)

This year the Whidden's were blessed with a Nintendo DS, a Wii with a few games, a few transformers, (Optimus, Ratchet, Starscream) a few snuggie knock offs, lots of clothes, Thomas the train and friends, some Toy Story toys, some scooters, lots of fun stocking stuffers and lots of candy.
We are so blessed it has been a wonderful year for us, we are so Thankful for our Savior and the blessings we have in our little family.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
