Tis the season...for soccer

So the kids both were signed up for soccer and it is quite the excitement around here.

Mostly for Livi she loves to put the shin guards, socks and pink and black cleats on.

Cooper wasn't really too sure of soccer and getting knocked over a few times. He is a pretty mild kid who likes a lot of structure. So it really isn't his thing, running around like crazy people without a definite job to do.

Bauer was beside himself having to sit on the side lines.

It was really fun to see how good some of the little kids are, there are some 5 year olds that are awesome!!!

Oh another funny thing about Cooper. His pre-school teacher was there with her kids and we were playing there team. She was sitting on the side lines and Cooper every time he ran past "Hi Ms. Nicole" and would wave until she acknowledged him, hence the reason he was knocked down sometimes.

Good thing for a big sister!!

So Alivia has really liked her dress up kit that we got her for Christmas. By 8:00 am she had Bauer dressed up as you can see and unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of what she put Cooper in and no it wasn't a princess dress. She had him in black, hanes, sweat pants and a button down white shirt, his black sport coat and a tie. He was the prince. Bauer on the other hand, I don't think had much choice or the knowledge to choose otherwise. I do have to say that Bauer would be a really cute little girl.
The latest pics of Kessler, he is one month old today. We got his pics taken at Target tonight and I was really impressed how well they turned out, and I am not just saying that. They changed to digital and it works much better. It is the same company that JC Penney switched too.
Anyway life is sailing along. We will be going on our first family trip of four kids next weekend a trip to Canada for wedding and we are really excited. Not so much for the plane ride, but we are taking Grandma to help out. Much appreciated.

Hair die??

So I was at my mom's house tonight and was enjoying the sunshine on the swing and my sister was sitting next to me. She told me to sit still and pulled a GREY or SILVER hair out of my head and then 2,3,4, more.
It really it silver or white and it is very thick and course.......so driving home thinking.....man I am going to have to start dying my hair....yes I do know friends that dye their hair, but I mean really 30 years old on the cusp of 31 and I will have to invest in hair dye.......as Cooper would say....OH MAN.........

beauty is in the eye of the beholder....

Most of you know Alivia does not have much hair and we really have only trimmed her hair through her 5 years.
Sadly my childhood years my hair looked very similar, it wasn't until I was older that my hair got dark and became thick.
This is what what we get to comb every day;)
Sadly she often asked when she will have long hair and loves to put wigs or little hair pieces in her hair.
Cooper this is his idea of it being too hot outside and altering his shirt, so he could cool down

Kessler and a few other things..

So here are some of the latest pics of Kessler, he went to the Doctor today he is 9 pounds 5 oz, and a really good baby. Just the usual wakes up a lot at night. I am not sure if my milk can keep up with him.
The kids have been loving him a lot. Livi is my little helper all day long, she asked to hold him all the time and loves it when he wakes up and looks at her.
Cooper does not call him by his name, he is referd to as 'my baby brother' and if you ask Cooper what Kessler's name is, sometimes he doesn't remember.
And Bauer he has definitely gotten used to him, but has had a hard time adjusting to not being mom's baby anymore. Bauer now feels like a giant to me. He is still so funny, I posted the pic of Bauer casting a spell on us.
His latest saying is "crazy" everything is "crazy" it is so cute.
And the other pics, Ben's latest project. A deck, keeping him busy on his days off. It will be nice to have some where to sit once it is done.
Ben at work has been finding my great deals, he got 3 boxes of huggies that are normally 25.00 each for 7.00 each, they were clearance, pushed back on the shelf, and when he pulled them forward and looked at the price, marched right up there and bought them, way to go Ben.
We have been busy with school, field trips, some shopping, I have only gone a few places with FOUR kids, (what the heck, I still can't believe it)
and it was okay, not great or awesome. We managed, I have spiffed up my game though, with snacks and drinks, stuff to keep little people occupied.
We are looking forward to going to Canada the first weekend of May for Gary and Allie's Wedding in Edmonton, we had to get Kessler his passport, his poor picture you can't have your hands in the picture so his head was a little crazy.
Thanks to Ben's parent who came down to Utah and enjoyed the sunshine but not the warmth. They did quite the trip from Canada, to Oregon, Utah, back up to Alberta and through south-east B.C and then home.

C-Section......whaaat???

So I thought I would post a bunch a pictures from, random, to Easter, to the birth of Kessler.
Easter turned out to be a great day just to spend with family. We obviously had a great Easter egg hunt in Grandmas backyard and Alivia was so excited, the excitement wore off for Cooper pretty fast and Bauer really go the hang of it pretty quick.
Monday morning rolls around by the way it took a really long time for that Monday to come.
We showed up for a normal Induction.
So the whole day ended up being quite slow and finally by 8:00pm we were ready to go, well Kessler's head was called a brow presentation and his head was tilted so after pushing 2.5 hours and having the epidural fade away a few times they decided that c-section was the only alternative. So into the the OR about 11:00 pm and at 11:36 baby Kessler was born.
Let's just say I do not do well under anesthesia, I am totally delirious (hence the photo up top that Ben lovingly posted, I look like I am totally faded) I am. I was only under local epidural and a few others, but I could hear everything and would comment about everything that was going on but could not open my eyes. IT was crazy.
Anyway we are SO glad he is here and so glad we decided on a name. He is so sweet and par for the course for a Whidden child, is Jaundice so he is a little yellow and very mellow.
I loved the photos up top Ben posted you can see a yellow strip across his eyes, he was under the lights and the hospital and has to wear a little mask, so it left the spot there yellow and mostly cleared everything up, until we get home and it rebounded back.
Thanks for all the posts, I will post more pics soon.
